DR-WALTER Protect is the additional coverage besides health insurance for all people abroad who want comprehensive coverage. The supplementary insurance plan includes personal liability, accident, baggage and assistance insurance and is available in combination with Provisit Student or Provisit Science.
Not only can you get sick during your time abroad, but a variety of other risks can occur:
You cause an accident with your bicycle. A parked car is damaged and one person is injured. The damage can be very expensive. Liability insurance protects you from such property dam-age and personal injury.
While hiking in the mountains, you suffer a serious injury and have to be rescued by mountain rescue. A rescue by helicopter costs a lot of money. To avoid having to pay the rescue costs yourself, it makes sense to obtain accident insurance.
You go on vacation with friends and your baggage including your new camera is stolen. This is annoying, but nothing to worry about if you have baggage insurance.
