Foreign students can usually only acquire compulsory health insurance during a short period at the beginning of their main studies. For example, a "deductible of €25 per insured event" means that you have to pay €25 of the medical bill yourself in each case of illness. Costs for medical examinations and treatments due to pregnancy and birth are covered by Provisit Educare24 if the pregnancy occurs after the beginning of your insurance cover.

You will receive a medical info card (Ärzte-Info-Ticket) together with your insurance certificate. If you provide this ticket to your doctor or to the hospital, we can settle the billing directly with the doctor or the hospital.

It is of no importance to Provisit Educare24 insurance coverage if you have a side job in addition to your primary cause of residence. You should, however, clarify with your employer if such a side job is subject to social insurance contributions.

Insurance coverage also includes worldwide trips and stays abroad up to a maximum duration of six weeks, even in your homecountry. In case of a stay of more than six weeks, only the first six weeks are covered. Flight tickets, railway tickets or stamps in the passport can be used to verify the duration of the holiday.

Premiums are calculated depending on the number of months or part thereof. Should you return home early from your stay abroad, you can cancel your contract here. We will then calculate your exact premium depending on the number of days you stayed abroad. You only pay for the actual period of insurance. No service fee will be charged for this reimbursement.
