Provisit Student TK is a combination of free international health insurance and statutory comprehensive health insurance. Between your arrival and the start of your studies, you are insured free of charge with Provisit Incoming Insurance (up to 90 days). As soon as your studies begin, you become a member of Germany's largest and most popular statutory health insurance provider, Techniker Krankenkasse (TK).
With over 10 million insured members, Techniker Krankenkasse is one of the largest health insurance companies in Germany. As a TK member, you will receive an insurance card (European Health Insurance Card, “EHIC”). With this card, you can visit doctors not only in Germany, but throughout Europe. In addition, you do not have to pay upfront, as is customary with private insurance companies. Simply present your insurance card to the doctor or hospital, and the treatment will be billed directly to TK.
We recommend Provisit Student TK for international students under the age of 28. If you are 28 or older, Provisit Study Secure is the ideal insurance for you. From the age of 38 however, Provisit Student is best for health coverage during your studies in Germany.

Supplement your health insurance coverage with our Protect Standard package for €6.60 per month or our Protect Complete package for €11.30 per month. Both packages include accident, liability, baggage and assistance insurance.
