Amsterdam

The most famous attraction in Alkmaar is the cheese market. It takes place every Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. between the beginning of April and the end of September, and on Fridays from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in July and August.
This interesting market has been around since 1365. Back then, cheese could only be weighed in the town center. Now public trading has become a tradition.
